EasyRhiz

Properties

pH 6.5-7.5 in water

EasyRhiz inoculant is a concentrated water soluble culture of Bradyrhizobium japonicum bacteria suitable for inoculation of legume seed at sowing. Inoculation with these Rhizobium spp can facilitate nodulation and enhance the Nitrogen fixing capability of the legume.

Benefits

• Water soluble for simple application via liquid injection, spray on seed or addition to seed dressing.
• Inoculation with Rhizobium spp. on legumes facilitates fixation of Nitrogen by the plant.
• Speciality EasyRhiz vials available for different legume species to ensure nodulation by the most beneficial Rhizobium spp.
• Suitable for both coating of the seed prior to sowing and liquid injection during sowing.

Application and Mixing

• 0.5T EasyRhiz vial will treat 500kg of seed. Inoculant is supplied with equivalent packet size of protecting agent.

• Prepare vial first. Remove lid and add clean cool water. Replace lid and shake to dissolve all powder. It is preferable to use water with pH between 6.5 and 7.5.

• Treated seed should be planted within 5 hours of inoculation.

Application Instructions

Seed Dressing

Dissolve protecting agent in approximately 2.5L water.

Avoid over-wetting seed and adjust water rate accordingly.

Mix in vial of pre prepared inoculant. Coat this solution evenly over the seed to be treated.

Liquid Inject

Dissolve protecting agent in 2L water and mix in preprepared inoculant solution. Add mix to tank last.

Rate of water is not critical (20-200L/ha) but liquid should be evenly distributed and must contact the seed as it is sown.

This can be achieved by ensuring planter set up and liquid inject is functioning correctly.

Handling and storage

• Store vial between 4-10C out of direct sunlight.

• Keep time of inoculant in tank to a minimum. It is essential that compatibility of EasyRhiz inoculant with fertiliser mix be confirmed prior to mixing inoculant into tank.

• Do not use EasyRhiz in hot dry conditions or plant treated seed into dry soil.

• Do not prepare inoculant into containers that have previously contained pesticides.

• Do not use if sowing into soil that is over 30C or to seed treated with toxic chemicals.

• Refer to product Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) prior to use.

• MSDS’s available at www.bionutrient.com.au or by telephoning BioNutrient Solutions on (07) 4671 5811.
